I Have a Plan!

I think I figured out how I can make the "Death ain't the Bad" pieces I've been talking about, its name keeps changing because I have yet to think of a final title. The main reason I was considering dropping it was a lack of skill with the camera, but I have thought of a way to that might make any horrid picture quality seem intentional. Since Death is such a surreal and abstract idea even when portrayed as a character, I was playing with the idea of using a sort of collage kind of competition, making it look like nothing actually belongs in the scene, but when taken in all at once it still tells the story I'm going for.

The scenes I'm trying to make for this short series of pieces are as follows

  • "Eat, Drink, and Be Merry, For Today You Met Death"
    • A man, who is either soon to die, or dead, meets Death and they both share a meal and a drink
      • It would be easier to show that he is dead, by giving him a Halo. I'm not sure how I would show that he is soon to die
      • I plan on showing that they are Death, by having a skull projected on his face, but I'm not sure how realistic I want the skull to be.
  • "Knocking Them Dead"
    • Death takes on the role of a stand-up comedian on stage surrounded by dead bodies, all with smiles on their faces.
      • I plan on showing that it's Death the same way as the last example, and again I'm not sure about the realism of the skull I want.
  • "Knock Knock"
    • Death, standing out side of a house, either asking to borrow some sugar, giving the house owner a gift, or some other neighborly activity. with dead plants and grass behind him.
      • I'm not sure if I want to show this one from inside the house, like you are the one opening the door, or if I just want to show death waiting patiently outside. Another option is to have death waiting patiently outside and show that on the inside the people are in a panic.
